Background

I am not a full on blogger  as writing is not my expertise.   Blogging for me is like an essay task for an English subject,  cgurado epic fail ako!  I just want  to  chronicle all my 'creations' in one site.   no other newsfeeds or postings  to compete with, solo ko 'atensyun' nyo dito..hahah!  I don't want  it to be  'blahgging' ,  so I will try to  make my future posts short and light  entertainment tipong   'chron-com'!

You may have already seen the  photos but  there is more to it.  It is not only about the finished product, it is about the  story and people behind it. It is about family and friends. kaya keep on reading, malay mo ma feature ka dito!(jowks!)

ArtiBakes is a fusion of  my two hobbies - Art (Drawing)  and Baking. So pwedeng ang meaning  ay  artistic baking, baking with art  or  my  favorite ( and yours? aminin !)  - 'maarteng baker'.

I started drawing at  7 years old,  pencil drawing ng babaeng lumuluha My drawing was sadder than the crying lady pero pinost pa rin ng teacher sa board. naawa ata hahaah!

I started baking at 10 years old. It was a boxed brownies  in a  stove top Wonder Oven ( jurassic !) . I did not have a mixer  back then, so mano mano. I had to mix in 50  strokes, eh ang lapot ng batter so add ako ng add ng water then got disappointmed with the finished product. A few years ago ko na lang nagets na kaya pala parang cake at hinde fudgy, di pala dapat mag add ng water! The instructions nga naman didn't say so. (cray-cray!)

I have been using this name since ages ago (google lang katapat) pero never got serious about it. Now I am owning it bago pa maunahan ng iba!   totohanan na to (kaya)..me logo na eh! 

The logo concept took just a few hours with input from bunso and kuya  but my eldest daughter illustrated it for me in 10 minutes lang! obyus ba na mas artisitic pa sa akin..hinde libre yun ha! sinuhulan ko ng extra internet time! and take note ang higpit ng ate ko sa  licensing and patent..I cannot lift any photos daw from other sites. so ako naman gabi na eh nagpiping piping pa  kasi di talaga sya papayag , kaya gawin ko na  or else  di  matatapos,  nakakabaliw!

Credit goes to my hubby  for photo uploading from camera to computer  etc  ..  so di ba  complete family project na to..All Star Cast!

Surprise! I don't have patience (lazy daizy) for rainbow cakes kc daming cake layers  to bake and tins to wash after . But thanks to  an idea from  charmandwhimsy    It was just all in one tin.
